Ayurveda: The Science of Life
Ayurveda [Sanskrit: Ayur (life) veda (science)] translates to ‘The Science of Life’, and has been practiced in our region since 5,000 years – making it one of the oldest sciences of the world.
The goal of Ayurveda is prevention as well as promotion of the body’s own capacity for maintenance and balance. Ayurveda is based on the belief that the delicate balance of mind, body and spirit determines health and wellness of the body.
The concepts of universal interconnectedness, the body’s constitution (prakriti), and life forces (doshas) are the primary basis of ayurvedic medicine. Goals of treatment aid the person by eliminating impurities, reducing symptoms, increasing resistance to disease, reducing worry, and increasing harmony in life.
Ayurvedic medicines make extensive use of natural herbs, plants, oils, and common spices. They are non-invasive and non-toxic in nature and therefore are free from any side effects. Products made using Ayurvedic plants, formulated with thorough research and expertise in the field of Ayurvedic medicine, have a strong action on the body’s well being.
